How we use information

• Provide and maintain the Services (accounts, gameplay features, leaderboards).
• Process purchases, deliver virtual items, and prevent fraud/chargebacks.
• Improve performance, debug issues, and develop new features.
• Moderate content, enforce rules, and protect users and the Services.
• Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support requests.
• Analytics and, where offered, advertising/marketing (you can opt out where required by law).

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Services:

• Service providers: hosting, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention, and payment/platform providers.
• Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
• With your direction: when you choose to connect third-party features or share content publicly.

We do not sell personal information. Some data disclosures (e.g., to analytics or advertising partners) may involve sharing limited information with third parties; we handle this in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). See “Your privacy rights” below.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies/local storage for authentication, settings, analytics, and to remember preferences. You can control cookies in your browser. If you disable cookies, some features may not work.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and context; some records may be retained longer where required or permitted by law.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Children and minors

The Services are intended for adults aged 20 and over in New Zealand and are not directed to children or other minors. Consistent with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ), we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the legal minimum age. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion. Where age-gated features exist, we may restrict certain features for users who do not meet the minimum age.

Your privacy rights (New Zealand)

Under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and its Information Privacy Principles, you have the right to: (a) confirm whether we hold personal information about you and access that information; (b) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; (c) request that we stop processing or delete information where appropriate; and (d) opt out of analytics and marketing communications where offered. We will respond within the timeframes set out in the Privacy Act 2020.

We may verify your request (for example, by account email or other reasonable methods). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
